One never knows what type of hand this player may enter a pot with, and if you can avoid getting entangled with them, then stay away. Wait for only the most premium hands, and look for opportunities when this player folds ahead of you.
Identify those players who are experienced and skilled. How can you tell? These players tend to watch the other players peek at their pocket cards and when the flop comes out. They focus on the other players more than the cards. They also know enough to rarely ever show their hands unless called for a showdown. Skillful players don’t play a lot of hands, but they win most of the time they do enter the pot. Respect their skill and judgment.
And another player to be afraid of is the bad player. These are the ones who call with anything, always go to the river, and put a bad beat on another player’s made hand at the last second. You must bet out so large that they have to fold, or just get out of their clumsy way. Their bad calls will eventually add up and they’ll go bust and leave the table.
